Noticed at the age of 15 at the Avignon competition in 2019, winner of the Jazz à Sète springboard the following year, Nathan Mollet (REVELATION!) signs his first album at the head of the trio formed with his father Dominique Mollet and drummer Elvire Jouve : "Instants". Beyond the influences (Bojan Z in "La Lumière du Phare", Brad Melhdau in "10h12"), we are impressed by the potential of a composer as richly inspired as he is technically sharp, who signs the entire repertoire!

Biographie
Baigné dans l’univers musical familial depuis tout petit, Nathan s’est très vite intéressé au Jazz. Inscrit dans un atelier d’Improvisation à l’âge de 7 ans, il a découvert les standards et en parallèle s’est essayé rapidement à la composition : il crée d’abord des boucles courtes qui se sont enrichies au fil du temps. C’est avec son père qu’il expérimente ses interprétations de standards et ses propres morceaux.A l’occasion de stages, de Jams Sessions et de son précieux apprentissage en cours particuliers, Nathan, alors âgé de 15 ans, ressent le besoin de monter son propre projet. C’est tout naturellement son père qu’il choisit à la contrebasse et il contacte Elvire, batteuse des ateliers d’Impro, avec qui il avait pu nouer une certaine complicité.
Ainsi en Décembre 2018, Nathan Mollet Trio commence ses premières répétitions. Plusieurs distinctions dont le prix du public au concours européen du festival de Jazz d’Avignon et la sortie du 1er CD plébiscité et désigné « Album Révélation » par Jazz Magazine, conduiront le trio sur des scènes prestigieuses telles que Jazz à Saint-Omer (programmé par Laurent Cugny), Jazz à Juan, Jazz à Sète au théâtre de la mer, Jazz sur un plateau, le festival « Aglanjazz » à Chypre...
Biography
Bathed in the family musical universe since his childhood, Nathan showed, very early, an interest in Jazz. Enrolled in an improvisation workshop at the age of 7, he discovered the standards. In parallel Nathan started composing. He first created short loops that have grown richer over time. With his father, they start experimenting the standards as well as his own pieces.
During workshops, Jams Sessions and his precious ongoing individual courses, Nathan, 15 years old, felt the need to set up his own project. Dominque Mollet, his father, and Elvire Jouve joined Nathan in order to form the Nathan Mollet Trio.
Thus in December 2018, Nathan Mollet Trio begins its first rehearsals. Several distinctions including the public prize at the European competition of the Avignon Jazz Festival and the release of the acclaimed 1st CD (designated "Revelation Album" by Jazz Magazine), will lead the trio to prestigious stages such as Jazz à Saint-Omer (programmed by Laurent Cugny), Jazz à Juan, Jazz à Sète and the Théâtre de la Mer, Jazz sur un plateau, “Aglanjazz” festival in Cyprus, Jazz à Vienne…
